Moved with pity.

We pass by people in need every day. In doorways, on subway platforms, on street corners, even on farms, they offer us opportunities to help. I confess that I don’t always know what to do. The need seems too great for one person to make any difference at all. But Sal Dimiceli proves that it can be done. He established “The Time is Now,” an organization that donates to dozens of charities. Thanks to him, people have mattresses and pillows, coats and shoes, food and safe housing. Now Dimiceli is working to rally the Christian community to the cause. “God would not turn a deaf ear to them and neither should we,” he said.
